A small kitchen or a condo rarely has room to give up to a large hood. A slimline hood is a slim unit that installs inside the cabinetry above the hob: pull the front panel out while you cook, then slide it back into the cabinet and the kitchen is clear again. That mechanism is called Slide to Auto, and both the SLIMTOUCH60 and the SLD62 have it, at the same 60 cm width.
The two models vent differently. The SLIMTOUCH60 is ducted-out only, so a duct route has to be prepared, while the SLD62 can either duct out or recirculate. Check the spec of the model you are buying and ask your dealer about the installation conditions first.

What makes a slimline hood handsome is how it looks when it is not in use: the panel sits inside the cabinet and only the front edge shows, a thin line that leaves the run of doors unbroken. The SLIMTOUCH60 has a stainless steel front edge with touch control, so nothing protrudes, and it is made in Europe. The SLD62 has an AISI430 stainless front edge with an anti-rust surface finish.
Made in Europe and touch control belong to the SLIMTOUCH60. The anti-rust finish and the AISI430 stainless front belong to the SLD62, which uses push buttons. Pick whichever suits your budget and your style.
